Mayflower was formed to promote the sport of offshore rowing and uses the waters of Plymouth Sound and beyond as its training area. The club organises two major annual events; The 'Plymouth Coastal Rowing Regatta' - a five mile race around Plymouth Breakwater and the more extreme 'Eddystone Challenge' - a 28 mile endurance race to the Eddystone Reef and back. The club offers recreational and competitive rowing to members of all abilities from novice to elite. Club nights are Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 18h00 BST and Sunday mornings from 10h00 al year round.
